Superior Diesel, along with their Bell Power Systems Division was awarded the 2020 Engine Distributor of the Year during the Diesel Progress Summit held on October 20th.
The Diesel Progress Summit Awards recognize outstanding achievement in the industrial power market including engines and electrification components used in in construction, agriculture, mining, forestry, industrial, marine, on-highway commercial, power generation, and oil & gas markets.
The nominations were evaluated by a panel of judges that included: David Campbell, director of engine and industrial design, The Charles Machine Works; Andy Noble, head of business development – Commercial Vehicle & Off-Highway, Ricardo Automotive & Industrial; Larrie York, founder and president (retired), Frontier Power Products; and Steve Zumbusch, former director of technology development, Eaton Hydraulics (retired). The panel was chaired by Mike Osenga, editor-at-large, Diesel Progress.
Founded in 1977 and 1967 respectively, Superior Diesel and Bell Power are headquartered in Rhinelander, WI and Essex, CT with another full service facility located in Seville, OH. They are value-added engine and drivetrain distributors for John Deere Industrial Engines, Kohler Diesel Engines, Funk Drivetrain Components, Zenith Spark Ignited Engines and Yanmar Industrial Diesel Engines through the Bell Power Division.
